As of [date of website publication], Ötkenmedien presents itself as an aspiring media corporation. The officially “paid” employed ratio only consists of Max Charles Ötken himself, with various unpaid volunteers. Ötken is currently a senior in school and has nearly graduated, studying environmental systems, financial math, government, literature, and most importantly by a landslide, film and interactive video. The Ötkenmedien homepage will be eventually updated to accommodate the graduation.
While this company is currently in its infancy, its founder is not. Ötken is currently either working on or drafting ideas for some original intellectual property, as well as fan-made content for Ratchet & Clank, Nerf, and other popular franchises. Most notably, however, Sega's Sonic The Hedgehog.
Currently, Ötken’s most exciting and personally hyped project is a pitch for a fan-made video game intended to be within and evolve Sonic The Hedgehog. This game would mix Sonic’s high-speed platforming premise with shooter elements, inspired by the likes of Doom, Ratchet & Clank, Team Fortress 2, and other popular shooter franchises.
The motif of Ötkenmedien is inspired by the turn of the 21st century information technology and German culture, the nation of which Ötken’s family had in fact originated from. And while Ötkenmedien radiates German heritage due to said motif, the umlaut present on the letter “O”, and the German word “medien”, meaning “media”, it is in fact based in the US, with plans to gradually establish additional capital and representative offices in Ireland, Switzerland, and South Korea.
Ötkenmedien would like to thank you for your interest in passionate media development, design, and discussion.
